✅ Here's what we can notarize...

* While not legally considered notarizations, non-notarial services are sometimes requested because notaries are viewed as trusted members of society who may, at times, sign and/or witness the signing of documents.

🚫 And here's what we cannot notarize...

Some documents can't be notarized under New York State law, or may fall outside the role of a notary public.

Here are a few examples of things we cannot notarize:

• Documents that are incomplete, blank, or missing required signatures

• Vital records like birth, death, or marriage certificates (only the issuing agency can provide those)

• Documents without notarial language (unless you request that we attach a standard certificate)

• Anything that appears fraudulent, misleading, or unclear

In addition to not being able to notarize some things, we also:

• Cannot accept photocopies, screenshots, or digital images of IDs—you must provide an original, valid ID

• Do not provide legal advice, document interpretation, or form completion — notaries aren’t lawyers (but we’ll let you know if we think you should consult one).
